No General Meeting in August. Our next General meeting is September 17. September’s meeting will focus on Trunk or Treat, Miracle On Morton Street and nominations for board positions: 1st Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary. Interested? Must be a member in good standing (paid membership), and posses the skills for that position, ability to attend meetings and enjoy volunteering, creating community rapport and financial partnerships. To vote at the October 15 meeting, for those nominated for the positions, you must be a member in good standing by the September 17 meeting.

This special called meeting is for members in good standing to approve the bylaw updates.
The bylaws committee has reviewed and provided input and suggestions, for these changes which include:
Removing the word officer as HRA has a Board of Directors that hold an office.
Change the membership dues to calendar year, no longer prorated.
Clarify Conflict of Interest and the opportunity for a member to work with HRA as a segment producer for an event.
Clarifying the election process.
Updates to language, email addresses, Board member responsibilities.

HRA meets July 16 at the Richmond Police Station 600 Preston Rd to discuss upcoming events, future goals and incentives and opportunities to become part of our organization. If you get cold easy, bring a sweater! We’ll have Gino’s pizza and water/soda also.
